Several hay bales and tires were set on fire on the A7 near Medemblik. The road between Hoorn and Den Oever is closed in both directions. The fire brigade is working to put out the fire and the police are also present.
The police received the report of the fires just before half past four this morning, a spokesperson said to NH Nieuws. The hay bales and tires were dumped near Lambertschaag. The road is closed in both directions here.
The fire brigade is currently busy extinguishing the fire, but it is not yet clear when the road can open again. The police say they would like to get in touch with people who have seen something about the dumping.
