The A28 near Hoogeveen will be closed this weekend due to large-scale maintenance on the highway. Work will be carried out between the Fluitenberg exit and the Hoogeveen junction from Friday evening at 8 p.m.
The road should be open again on Monday morning at 05:00. Traffic coming from the direction of Assen must take extra travel time into account. According to Rijkswaterstaat, this can be ten to thirty minutes longer.
The contractor has informed households in the vicinity of the highway by letter of the upcoming work and the possible noise nuisance as a result. We are doing our utmost to keep disruption to a minimum.
If the weather is bad so that not all planned work can be carried out this coming weekend, the weekend of 21, 22 and 23 July has been put in the agenda as a reserve weekend.
