This weekend, Rijkswaterstaat is carrying out maintenance on the A2. As a result, the highway between the Deil junction and Empel junction in Den Bosch is closed to all traffic. The work and closure will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday evening and end at 5 a.m. on Sunday.
According to Rijkswaterstaat, this involves regular maintenance such as asphalt paving, replacing joint transitions and maintenance of the guardrail.
During that time, the intermediate entrances and exits are closed, as well as the De Lucht-West service area and the gas station at the service area. Rijkswaterstaat warns to take into account an additional travel time that can amount to more than 60 minutes.
The following roads, entrances and exits are closed:
- A2 between Deil junction and Empel junction towards Den Bosch.
- The A15/A2 connecting road at the Deil junction towards Den Bosch.
- The A15/A2 connecting road at the Deil junction coming from Nijmegen towards Den Bosch.
- Exit 16 Waardenburg of the A2 in the direction of Den Bosch.
- Exit 17 Zaltbommel of the A2 in the direction of Den Bosch.
- Parking/service area De Lucht-West with adjacent gas station (Shell) along the A2 in the direction of Den Bosch.
There are several diversions due to the closure of the A2.
