A motorcyclist was injured in an accident between a motorcycle and a truck on the A16 at the Galder junction on Monday morning. The accident happened around a quarter past seven in the direction of Antwerp. The highway is closed in that direction.
The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital, according to a 112 correspondent. Due to the severity of the situation, an air ambulance landed on the highway.
It is not clear how the accident could happen. This is being investigated by the police. This means that the road will remain closed for the time being, Rijkswaterstaat indicates.
