Kuopio Palloseura played a Veikkausliiga match in Lahti on Saturday. The Kuopio club was close to being left without important support in the away game, as the bus used by the team’s supporters was left on the side of the road.
The emergency was not great. The supporters got in touch with the team’s bus, which came to pick up the fans. From the tweets about the rescue operation, it was possible to conclude that the supporters did not miss a single minute of the game.
Traveled in the fan bus Kristian Salmi sent thanks to KuPS on Twitter.
– Melekone’s journey behind. The bus made a mistake on the way, about 10 kilometers from Kuorti to Lahti. After a quick explanation, the KuPS team bus picked us up, and soon we were at the game locations, Salmi writes.
Being late to the match could have been a shame, as the first three goals of the game came within the first 18 minutes. In the end, KuPS organized a seven-hit goal celebration with the hosts from Lahti and won 4–3.

In addition to the victory, the people of Kuopio got to shout banzai in honor of confirming the first place in the Veikkausliiga. KuPS now leads the league with three points. HJK and SJK are tied for second and third, the latter of which has played two matches less. AC Oulu is fourth and seven points away from KuPS.
Like last year, it is difficult for FC Lahti. The team is in 11th place in the series.
