The National Police has stopped at Palma de Mallorca to a Spanish woman routinely mistreat their four children, ages 3 to 14. The victims received insults and aggression and were neglected, according to the investigation. Some of them were even out of school. The case came to light because one of the minors announced his intention of commit suicide.
The situation of the children was discovered last Thursday afternoon, as explained by the National Police on Sunday. A call alerted 091 that a minor intended to take her own life. A patrol from the Citizen Security Brigade of the National Police attended the scene.
There they contacted the girl’s older sister, an 18-year-old girl. According to her account, the minor had called her father to tell him that he did not want to continue living with his mother and that he was going to commit suicide.
The agents found out that since the separation of the parents the four minor children of the couple, ages 3, 4, 10 and 14, live with their mother. They were all mistreated by the woman. They were neglected and one of them did not even go to school.
According to research, the two older brothers were to take over of the little ones and do the housework, since his mother was away for long periods of time.
The woman addressed them with insults and contempt when he returned to the house and on several occasions he physically assaulted them.
After collecting all this information, the patrol transferred the minor to the police station, where the Family and Women’s Unit (UFAM) opened an investigation. The agents wrote a complaint, took statements from several people in the family environment and carried out various steps to clarify the facts. the police added.
Finally, the police arrested the woman for a crime of bad treatments in the family. The suspect was taken to the police station for questioning before being brought before the Palma police court.
