A whole day of searching for Jeroen Schermer yields nothing

After a long search by the police, the Veteran Search Team with about fifty volunteers and five sniffer dogs, there is still no trace of the missing man from Den Helder. The search has now been discontinued.

A spokesman for the police said this. This morning the search started at nine o’clock in the dune area and lasted until about six o’clock this evening. A spokesperson says nothing has been found.

“Because there are no traces leading to another area, we will not continue with another major search outside tomorrow. However, the police investigation will continue unabated,” said a police spokesman.
