A warm and spicy drink made from apple juice

The Christmas scent has cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves and ginger.

The winter drink only gets better if it is allowed to rest on the stovetop. Roni Lehti

The same Christmas spices are put into a warm drink, which you can offer instead of mulled wine. The best thing: The drink does not suffer, even if it is on a warm plate for a long time. Then its lovely scents will spread throughout the home.

You can prepare this delicious drink the day before and heat it on the stove just a moment before serving.

– The drink is perfect as a starter drink for the little Christmas season – with or without steel, advises Heiroli, who imports kitchen accessories Cristina Moborg.

The winter drink is good as it is, but you can also add a splash of almond liqueur to it. Roni Lehti

A warm & spicy winter drink

2 l apple juice (preferably freshly squeezed)

1 organic orange, sliced

6 cardamom seeds

4 cinnamon sticks

3 cloves

2.5 dl cranberries (fresh or frozen)

10 g ginger, sliced

1. Put all the ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Adjust the stove’s power to a lower setting and let the drink stir slowly for 20–30 minutes.

2. Strain the drink and serve warm. Garnish with rosemary sprigs, cranberries and orange slices.

3. If you want to drink a little something stronger, try, for example, almond liqueur (Amaretto) or white rum.
