A “freezingly large ice cube” has appeared in the center of Helsinki.
Iltalehti’s reader noticed a “freezing big ice cube” opposite the Presidential Palace. The Finnish flag and the national team jersey are frozen inside to celebrate Sauli Niinistön the coming to an end twelve-year period as the President of Finland.
On the back of the jersey is the last name and the number 12. According to the reader, the letter C is embroidered on the chest of the jersey, i.e. the captain’s logo.
Niinistö is known as an enthusiastic outdoor hockey player. At the end of January, he was seen on the ice of the Nokia Arena in the jersey of the Lions.
Niinistö invited the ice hockey team as a guest in the spring of 2022, when Finland had won both the Olympic gold and the world championship.
