A tourist has filed a complaint at a police station in the Mossos d’Esquadra the theft of his watch, a Hublot worth €800,000. The victim affirms that yesterday, Wednesday afternoon, he was robbed by several thieves who, acting as a group, violently ripped the watch off his wrist and then fled.

The Mossos have not been able to arrest anyone, at the moment, and are investigating the events, which occurred near Plaça de Sant Jaume in Barcelona. It’s theft of a most expensive watch that has been denounced in the Catalan capital to date. There were several precedents for watches that cost 200,000 or 300,000 euros. But none of such a high value, which is around 800,000 euros. Some sources indicate that it could be a Black Caviar Bang from the prestigious Swiss firm Hublot.

To combat this criminal phenomenon on the rise in Barcelona, ​​and in other European cities, the Mossos have recently created a specialized unit to combat this type of violent thieves, who act in packs, look for high-end watches that unceremoniously snatch tourists and they work for people who buy, and even order, the parts they source and then sell them abroad.
