The Finnish Football Association remembers the late president Martti Ahtisaaarta.
The Football Association published a press release on its channels. The national football teams will honor Ahtisaari in their national matches in the coming days.
– President, Nobel laureate, peace negotiator and defender of goodness Martti Ahtisaari is gone. Under the leadership of Huuhkaji, all Finnish national teams will play their national matches in mourning bands in the coming days, respecting the memory and legacy of President Ahtisaari, Palloliitto announced.
Ahtisaari died on Monday, October 16 at the age of 86.
Huuhkajat will meet Kazakhstan in the EC qualifiers on Tuesday at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
