The German national handball team has to come to terms with the end of the European Championship. After the 21:25 defeat against Sweden, the DHB team can no longer reach the semi-finals in Budapest.

The team of national coach Alfred Gislason showed a particularly defensive, self-sacrificing performance against the Olympic gold medalist, keeping the Swedes with only twelve goals at half-time.
