Electricity production in the Netherlands is increasingly coming from renewable sources such as sun and wind. Last year, that share rose by 22 percent to 39.1 billion kilowatt hours. This means that a third of electricity production came from renewable sources, according to figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
