A surprise change to the F1 results: Hamilton and Leclerc were rejected

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s cars fail post-race inspections.

Formula One stewards rejected Mercedes early on Monday Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari Charles Leclerc from the US Grand Prix race on Sunday, Reuters and AFP reported.

According to the organizers, the cars of Hamilton and Leclerc did not pass the post-race inspections. Both stables have accepted the rejection decisions.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton finished second in the race, while Leclerc, who started from the pole position, finished sixth.

Sunday’s competition was won Max Verstappen. The win was the Dutchman’s 15th of the season and 50th of his career.

With the rejections, Hamilton’s teammate George Russell came fifth in the competition. Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz came third again.
