Singer Lana Del Rey aka Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, 37, has suffered from harassment since the beginning of the year, because a man named Eric Everardo, 21, has been stalking her. The case has now been discussed in court.
Everardo broke into Grant’s home for the first time in February and stole Grant’s Jaguar car from the house. Everardo was charged with stealing a car.
Everardo came to Grant’s house again in early July when the singer was away. However, Everardo left a bag with a letter at the gate of the singer’s house. In the letter, Everardo told how he would like to see Grant again.
Everardo also approached Grant’s siblings. He sent Grant’s sister a few text messages, even though Grant’s sister’s phone number is secret.
Grant told the court that he feared for his own safety and that of his family. The court listened to the singer and Everardo received a temporary restraining order. Everardo must stay at least 100 meters away from Grant and his family members and is not allowed to contact them.
Grant deleted all his social media accounts last September. As recently as last September, his Instagram account had 20 million followers and 10 million followers on Twitter. Grant said the reason for deleting the accounts is that he wants to focus on music.
