Thousands of twists and turns in the Finnish Cup can and do happen. An example of that was given on Sunday, when the match between Jalkaranna Palloseura and Kouvola Jalkpallo in Lahti Kisapuisto was interrupted for a reason that hardly caused a huge upset in the stands.

In the middle of the match, a small child got everyone’s attention when he bypassed the match event security and rode his bike across the field. The field usurper’s momentum stopped when the referee Ilkka Mäkelä stopped in front and instructed him to move aside.

The maintenance man of the other team tamed the ground by kicking an advancing spectator to the sideline.

Suomen Cup shared a funny video on its social media channels. Applause and a lot of giggling can be heard in the background of the video.

– Fines for Lahti, one viewer jokes in the video.

The video quickly spread to other channels as well. Out of Context Football, a football humor page with more than three million followers on Twitter alone, shared the same clip on his channel.

Suomen Cup reports that the match was completed normally. After the regular season ended goalless, the home team playing in the senior men’s league beat KJP playing in Kolmose with a score of 5–4.

Among other things, a former Huuhkajat player Kari Arkivuo represented by JaPS/M35 will continue to the fourth round, where they will face Lahti Reippa, who play in Kakkones.
