At the beginning of the year, there will be a change in the free-to-air channels of the Ice Hockey Championship League.
Starting in January, eight Friday matches will be shown live on the MTV3 channel.
The matches in question start at 19:30. The regular season matches of the SM league have traditionally started at 18:30.
According to MTV, it is the best program slot on Friday night. MTV Sports Program Manager Markus Autero promised changes to broadcasts in MTV’s announcement. According to Autero, the TV concept is being changed “in many different ways”.
– Game events are monitored with very extensive camera coverage. The pace and feeling of the match are therefore transmitted in a more versatile way. The visual appearance of the broadcasts will be renewed and we will also highlight the stars of the League even more during the match, Autero said in the press release.
In September–December, MTV has shown one match a month on the MTV3 channel. In addition, one match per week has been shown on the MTV Sub channel.
The Friday broadcasts starting in January will replace the previous broadcasts of MTV’s free channels.
