A significant change to the Simpsons series

The popular animated series abandons its established joke.

In the 35th season of the animated series The Simpsons, a significant scene in the history of the program will be seen. Over the years, viewers have become accustomed to the fact that the father of the yellow animated family, Homer Simpson, strangles his son Bart when he has done something bad.

In the future, however, this will no longer happen, reports Independent.

The first episode of The Simpsons aired in 1989. PDO

In the third episode of the new production season, Homer and Marge get to know a new resident of the neighborhood. Homer shakes the man’s hand, who compliments his handshake.

– Do you notice Marge? Strangling the boy has paid off, Homer continues.

– Just kidding. I don’t do that anymore. Times have changed, says Homer.
