First, the new caps will come on half-liter Fanta bottles. Fanta orange soft drink bottles now have a new type of hinged cap that stays on the bottle even when the cap is opened. The idea behind the new caps is to ensure that no part of the plastic bottle ends up outside the bottle recycling system. The hinged cap is twisted open like familiar screw caps, and after opening the cap is turned aside from the hinge point. The cap can also be closed as usual, but it should not be removed from the bottle.
