The minor was hit by a bullet during the local patron saint festivities and the authorities are considering a lost projectile from a fight as the main hypothesis
The Mexican Police have reported the death of a two-year-old boy who has lost his life after receiving a bullet impact during the celebration of a patronal festival in the Mexican town of Toluca, in the center of the country.
According to the latest report from the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM), the minor was with his grandmother in the street, in front of her house, watching the fireworks on the occasion of the patronal festival, at which time a bullet hit the child, reported ‘Millennium’. “Suddenly they heard firearm detonations, immediately his grandson fell unconscious bleeding, which is why they transferred him to the hospital,” said the statement released by the SSEM, citing the statements of the minor’s grandmother.
After the bullet impact, the two-year-old boy was taken to a nearby hospital. However, once at the medical center, the toilets confirmed that the minor had died.
The main hypothesis of the event argues that in a fight one lost bullet would have reached the minor, although the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico has not closed other lines of investigation. So far no people have been arrested and the Police are continuing their inquiries.
