Canadian singer Avril Lavigne’s speech took an unexpected turn at the Juno Awards on Monday, when a scantily clad protester ran onto the stage in the middle of Lavigne’s speech.
The Rolling Stone – magazine, the text: “Save the Greenbelt” was written in black marker on the body of the protester, who was dressed in bright pink pants.
The message referred to a green area in Ontario, Canada, where residential and industrial construction projects have recently been planned.

However, the Canadian singer did not remain speechless in the situation, but delivered a strong message to the protester.

After the intermission, Lavigne soon returned to the stage to accept one of the awards handed out at the awards ceremony.

Impressed by the singer’s reaction, Marvel actor Simu Liu took to the stage to praise Lavigne, saying the singer “handled that topless woman like a champ.”
After the gala, Lavigne tweeted her fans thanking them for winning the audience award.
