Camilla tells in a recent SVT documentary “La Camilla – från gata till glamour, tur och retur” (free translation: La Camilla – from street to glamor and back), how miserable she is doing these days.

– I had a backpack full of money, but I didn’t know what to do with it. So I wasted everything, Camilla says in the SVT documentary.

Camilla says that she is very ill and lives on the minimum income. He has a herniated disc and asthma and “all sorts of other things”.
– I am looking for a job, but I have no plans for the future. Maybe that’s why I feel bad. I don’t know where I’m going, Camilla says sadly.
Camilla feels like she’s working at 30 percent power.
– That’s not enough for me. My life is over. I feel the flame has gone out and I have nothing without it.
Camilla says she feels she was not made to grow old.
– I wouldn’t like to say that I have nothing to live for, but in a way it is. I have no children, no family, no job. What should I do? Feed the birds? I don’t think it’s my thing.
However, there is one thing that ignites Camilla’s flame, as she says herself. It’s politics.
– I think I am something that is needed, childless women over 60 maybe? I need to find out if this is the case or is it just me who thinks this way.
Camilla was at the peak of her popularity in the mid-90s, when Army of Lovers climbed the charts in Europe and also in the United States. The group’s hits included Crucified and Obsession.

Camilla has also received another kind of publicity, when it was claimed that she had an affair with King Kaarle Kustaa in the late 90s.
Camilla has described how the party with the king was wild, and that everyone was there voluntarily. At that time, Camilla had made a breakthrough in Army of Lovers, and she enjoyed Stockholm’s nightlife, in the company of people belonging to the upper classes.

The king and Henemark saw each other for about two years until Camilla ended the relationship.
