Patrik Laine’s collarbone was broken.
The NHL club Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Friday that the Finnish forward Patrik Laine is expected to be sidelined for six weeks with a broken collarbone.
Laine was injured in the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs the night before Friday Finnish time.
The wave twisted Toronto of William Lagesson with, fell on the surface of the ice and slid hard on the side. Based on the decelerations, Lagesson struggled with Laine, as a result of which Laine lost her balance.
This is the second major injury for Lainee this season. The Finn was previously on the sidelines for several matches after a tackle to the head.
Laine’s season has been difficult anyway. The star player tried to play as a center forward at the beginning of the season, but the trial ended without results.
