Summer newcomer Mohamed Bamba is leaving Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC after just a few months: The 22-year-old Ivorian is joining Ligue 1 bottom club FC Lorient in France, with whom he has signed a contract that runs until 2028.

The team from Brittany is said to have paid around 5 million euros including future bonuses for the attacker’s services, meaning Bamba replaces Shon Weissman as the most expensive departure in the Wolfsberg club’s history.

Bamba moved from the second Israeli league to Lavanttal in July and, after receiving eligibility to play, made a total of 17 competitive appearances there in the following month, in which he scored eight goals.
