The photo is on display at a photo exhibition at Kensigton Palace on Friday, the theme of which is the royal family’s relationship with the camera.
The National Portrait Gallery commissioned that photo from a respected photographer From David Bailey in 1988. Diana herself just wanted Bailey to be her photographer.
Bailey took several pictures, but now on display he wanted to save in his own collections.
In the picture, Diana is sitting looking away from the camera. He looks pensive or at least not interested in smiling right now. The princess’s hair looks darker in black and white than usual in the pictures.
Hellomagazine believes the shot will take its place in one of the most iconic images ever taken of Diana.
Another Diana and the prince Charlesin of the boys, Prince William, lives with his family in Kensigton Palace, where a photo exhibition is held.
William’s wife, Duchess Catherine, is an avid photographer. For example, he has captured the children of the family in pictures published on the court’s official Instagram account.
The exhibition also includes pictures taken by the royals themselves.
