Next season, Salo Palloilijat will play in the first division for the first time since 2001. In men’s football Second Division B, promotion was celebrated when SalPa from Salo secured the league championship with a 0–1 victory over Klubi 04. SalPa maintained a five-point lead over second-placed FC Honka/Akatemia, so in the final round we will only play for a good feeling. SalPa’s winning goal was beautiful to watch. His team’s batting specialist Joonas Meura let his right foot sing and bombed the ball from over 30 meters into the top corner of the home team’s goal.
