A piece of iconic TV history was auctioned at a high price – The dresser once paid a fortune for the garment

The clothes of famous style muses were auctioned in Los Angeles.

Famous pieces of clothing have changed hands as royal fashion was flaunted to the world on Thursday in Los Angeles. Julien’s Auctions sold a selection of iconic outfits by iconic women.

Princess Diana’s velvet cocktail dress was sold for 325,000 dollars, or about 298,000 euros.

by Catherine Walker the creation he designed was estimated in advance to reach $100,000.

The price of the green suit worn by Hollywood star and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly rose to 650,000 dollars, or about 596,000 euros.

The highlights of the auction included one of the most memorable outfits in TV history. It was about Single life– series Carrie ie by Sarah Jessica Parker the tulle skirt seen above. The skirt was sold for 52,000 dollars, or about 48,000 euros. The price estimate was on the low end, only 8,000 dollars, or about 7,300 euros.

Costume designer Patricia Field got the skirt for five dollars at the time.

Recently worn by Princess Diana in the 80s by Jacques Azagury the creation was sold for more than 1.1 million dollars, i.e. well over a million euros.

It was a record high auction price for Diana’s dress. Although many of Diana’s dresses have been sold and their prices have risen high, the sale price of the dress in question was estimated to be “only” 100,000 dollars, or about 91,500 euros.
