Simon and Charlotte solemnly promise: they will be lovers, but without complications, their story will be pleasant and temporary. Embodied by two perfect actors (strong and determined Kiberlain, verbose and awkward Macaigne), the protagonists of these scenes of extramarital life proceed, by stages marked by the calendar, in the exploration of the love affair.
With an unexpected depth, even for those aspiring to a lightness that will not know tomorrow. A film both chaste and uninhibited (adultery is never the nerve center) which perhaps owes more to the cinema of Woody Allen than to that of Truffaut.
