The Finnish commercial television channel that specializes in events, EventTV Eveo, will start its operations this coming weekend.
According to the press release published on Tuesday morning, EventTV Eveo can be seen in Digita’s antenna farms and in Telia’s and Ålcom’s cable farms in channel slot 17. The channel’s population coverage is 98 percent. According to the release, EventTV Eveo’s programs can also be viewed as recordings from the archives of the Eveo.fi streaming platform.
EventTV Eveo is owned by the production company Rockway Oy, which is known for its Keikalla.fi online platform and its music teaching platform Rockway.fi.
EventTV Eveo announces that it is the first TV channel in Finland that offers programs focused on events and related topics. The channel initially broadcasts programs 12 hours a week on Saturdays and Sundays in the afternoon and late evening.
Eveo’s first own productions are food and music programs. Before Christmas, there will also be Kanteletar Ida Elina and Jari Sillanpää’s Christmas concerts. According to the release, the channel’s program offering and broadcast times will expand next spring, once the channel has been launched.
Music, food and cars
The channel’s first two own programs are the Menumestarit series, piloted by Sasu Laukkonen and Alessandro Karttunen, and the music-focused talk show Starat, in which music journalist Pasi Kostiainen’s guests include Mikko Alatalo, Samu Haber, Osmo Ikonen and Ile Kallio.
Next weekend, EventTV Eveo will show a quick summary of Auto and Liikennegaala from Tampere. The winner of the Car of the Year in Finland 2023 competition will be announced in the program.
According to the release, during 2023 EventTV Eveo will be showing, among others, the program series Iskelmämestarit singing competition 2023, Laulajatehdas, Yrittäjäforumi, Business Fight Helsinki, World’s happiest people, Frisbeegolf competitions 2023 and Pucks to the basket.
