A new threat is hovering over the Summer Olympics in Paris, which the French authorities have decided to prepare for.
the BBC according to France will send 35,000 security personnel and army personnel to the opening ceremony in Paris.
According to French Interior Minister Gerald Darman, the country is preparing for drone flights.
– Drones cause a completely new kind of threat. Drones equipped with explosives are new. There is no certainty that this threat will materialize, but it is the most difficult to stop.
– We have done a lot of work on classic threats, whether it was criminals or armed persons with a gun or a bomb. We know how to detect and counter this threat.
The opening ceremony will take place on a six-kilometer stretch of the Seine River, with 160 boats carrying athletes and other personnel from 200 different countries. More than 600,000 spectators are expected for the ceremony.
The idea of the competition organizers is to place the Olympic flame on the Eiffel Tower.
The Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11.
