Living on a desert island

Only 40 people live there, there are no churches or restaurants and not even a pub. You have to be able to forget about aperitifs, parties and the dating app. Instead, there is the wind that whips the sea, the red deer, the Highland cows, the dunes of Kilmory, the hills of Harris and the sharp rocks of the Cuillin.
Goodbye worldliness
The only center is Kinloch, a tiny village guarded from above by a castle built in the nineteenth century. Here the worldly life, but only in summer, is Friday evening with “Fish and chips and Prosecco “ offered by a small café.
The only other place open is a post office – small market where you can buy what is there or order from the mainland.

To continue living, however, a new generation is needed, so much so that the island is looking for tourists for life, or rather new inhabitants who want to move and live in harmony with nature thanks.
And for this very purpose, some have been built eco-sustainable houses, consisting of two bedrooms, a small outdoor vegetable garden, even a fast internet line and a great view. For which, if you work on the island, the purchase price will be controlled.
