More than two and a half years after the shareholders Staat, Esso and Shell decided to phase out GasTerra because of the end of gas extraction, there was suddenly a call for the continuation of the gas trading company based in Groningen. It should help the Netherlands to phase out the import of Russian gas while at the same time safeguarding security of supply by finding new suppliers.
