A new application to FIFA for the extension of the transfer period from TFF!

In Turkey, which was shaken by two major earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, sports activities were stopped. The Turkish Football Federation applied to FIFA to extend the half-time transfer period until February 18 and received its approval. TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi announced that another application was made to extend the transfer period for the second time. Büyükekşi announced that they have applied to FIFA to extend the transfer period until March 5.

On the other hand, players who played in the teams of the earthquake zone such as Gaziantep FK, Hatayspor, Adanaspor, Yeni Malatyaspor, which were withdrawn from the league, will be able to play in another team with special permission until the end of the season.

Making a statement on the subject, TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi said, “As the management, we took a decision regarding the transfer of the players in the withdrawn clubs, we were waiting for permission from FIFA. The permission came from FIFA. As you know, the transfer ended last week. We got a 10-day permission from FIFA for this. “This 10-day leave will expire over the weekend. We wrote a letter to FIFA again today, regarding the extension of the deadline until March 5th. There is no positive or negative news. However, the 10-day period is valid.” said.

In addition, Mehmet Büyükekş said, “There were demands from Hatayspor, Gaziantep, Malatyaspor and Adanaspor, which were withdrawn from the Super League and the 1st League. If foreign players are transferred from these clubs, 8+1 in the Super League, 5+1 in the 1st League. “Some clubs are in talks with our clubs, for rent or for sale. We have another decision. When the coaches trained 2 teams in 1 season, they could not train the 3rd team. This is under the authority of the TFF. We have taken this decision, they will be able to employ another team.” “The decision about the players is in FIFA. If the players played in 2 clubs, we are waiting for the transfer permission to a third club for the players playing in this club.” made the statement.
