The race of the Omicron infections pushes the Government towards a new squeeze to curb the race of the virus. The solutions to be adopted will be discussed first in a control room with the heads of delegation of the political forces who support the majority (the meeting, which began a quarter of an hour after 15, is in progress; Brusaferro and the head of the Cts Franco Locatelli), then in a meeting with the Regions and finally in the Council of Ministers.
So far the roadmap. At present, the most probable hypothesis is that which provides for all workers as an alternative to the imposition of the super green pass (the one obtained with a vaccine or recovery from Covid) – a solution that does not mind the Prime Minister Mario Draghi -, L’vaccination obligation for fragile individuals, the most at risk, such as those over 60: there are 1.2 million Italians in this age group still without injection and they are those who crowd hospitals and intensive care units, also determining the color change of the regions.
Divided majority on the Super green pass for work
This is the compromise that is emerging, also because in the majority the distances on the hypothesis of extending the super green pass to the whole world of work remain. Lega and Cinque Stelle are against. Pd, Italia Viva, the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza and a part of Fi, the one close to the Minister of Pa Renato Brunetta, are in favor. Certainly all the solutions will be evaluated up to the last. In the end, the CDM should give the green light to a new law decree.
Circular waiting on smart working
In the decree there will be no new rules on Smart Working in the public sector. Because the current rules already allow a large dose of flexibility, sufficient to manage the emergency with the spaces of freedom given to the individual administrations. Instead, a circular is expected, also jointly with the Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando, to remind public and private employers of all the space open to the rules already in force (see also Il Sole 24 Ore of 5 January). The leader of the 5 Stars Giuseppe Conte is in pressure. “A precondition for further restrictions to be taken into consideration is that the use of smart working is introduced immediately – he stressed -. It is unacceptable that Europe has recourse to this measure, and we who were the leaders have abandoned it at this stage of the pandemic ».
About the variable geometry quarantine school
On the table of the Government there will be the new rules for triggering the Dad in schools. The starting point, and probably also the arrival point, is given by the Regions’ proposal: to suspend the didactic and educational activities in the classroom, one infection in infancy will suffice, two in elementary and sixth grade, three in the seventh grade and high school .
