The Naked Attraction Suomi show features 54-year-old Merja, whose life changed drastically after her husband died about three years ago.

For Merja, participating in the program was a big step, because she has hardly dated before. She met her husband Jarin At the age of 18, but the death of her husband separated them about three years ago. Jari died of lung cancer, when Merja’s life changed drastically, and dating never even crossed her mind.
– We found out about Jari’s diagnosis three years before his death, so I was able to prepare a little for it. I don’t know if it would have been easier or not if he had died from the one shot, but in hindsight it was better this way, Merja times.
– My whole life changed when he died: my life partner, home, work, hobby, everything went. My life was terribly boring, and I had no friends other than my children and grandchildren, he continues.

However, the tragic fate did not defeat Merja. He took his own time for grief work and decided to move into the dating market. What made Merja say that she is ready to date after her husband’s death?
– Can you say lack of sex? Merja pauses with a laugh before continuing.
– Yes, it took me a couple of years after Jari’s death before I even thought about anything (dating). When time collected itself, there was such a need for touch, sex and the momentary feeling of being present with an adult person in some way. I also realized that life goes on – it just is, he adds.
In the interview, Merja is full of positive energy – life seems to smile even after a tragic fate. In the Naked Attraction Suomi program, Merja is not looking for a certain type of man, because personality is more important than appearance.
In addition, Merja is very aware of what she is looking for in a date – and it is not a relationship.
– As such, I haven’t ruled out any options, but I just don’t feel the need for a partner. But more (I feel the need) for pretty much simple sex. It can be repeated, but I don’t mind even one-off cases if it feels good.
