A motorist died this Thursday in a car accident in the N-260a in Vallfogona de Ripollès (Girona), as reported by the Servei Català de Trànsit. The fatal road accident has been recorded at kilometer point 106, in the direction of Vallfogona, and the Mossos have received notice of the accident shortly after 12:30 p.m.

For reasons that are still being investigated, there has been a collision between a motorcycle and a passenger car. As a result of the incident, three Mossos patrols, four Generalitat Fire Brigade crews and three ambulances and the SEM medical helicopter have been activated. The N-260a has had to be cut in Vallfogona de Ripollès in both directions.
With this victim, there are 90 people who have died in a traffic accident this year on the interurban road network of Catalonia, 21 of them motorcyclists, according to the provisional data of the SCT.
