A mixed message, with two men and two women skiing, could replace the traditional message at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

According to Dagbladet, the International Ski Federation and the International Olympic Committee are already seriously considering a radical solution.

– They want new races. Then someone else’s race has to give up. One suggestion is that the message be replaced by a mixed message. It has been discussed in meetings. I have seen a written presentation by the FIS and the IOC that Ole Morten Iversen says Dagbladetille.

The head coach of the Norwegian women’s cross-country team emphasizes that no decisions have yet been made. Iversen will resign at the end of this term.

The mixed message was skied on Sunday at the Falun World Cup. The program for the Games has been locked up until 2025, so a mixed message in those hotspots could be seen at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo at the earliest.

Head coach of the Norwegian men’s regular national team Eirik Myhr Nossum has heard the same rumors as Iversen.

– If a trip comes in, someone else has to leave. I think the traditional message is in greater danger than the pair print, the man estimates.

Therese Johaug is not very excited about a possible reform, even if he is no longer affected. Superstar when he ends his career this season.

– I do not think that messages from women and men should be deleted. It is something that the whole team and the people value highly. This (mixed message) could be a nice addition, but I don’t think anything should be removed, Johaug said.

Played on the Norwegian national team this season Marte Skaanes is on the same lines.

– I really like clean messages for men and women, so I hope they are not replaced, Skaanes said.
