A big mistake was made in Big Brother, writes journalist Mari Pudas.

Big Brother Finland program was launched on Nelose in 2019. Before that, perhaps the world’s most famous reality TV program was seen on Sub, where it was shown between 2005 and 2014.
Endemol Shine Finland’s program, which had been on the shelf for a few years, received a positive reception at Nelose.
However, now the program ends, at least for the time being, which means that it will not be seen on Nelose in the fall.
The basic idea of the program is that previously unknown participants are locked in the Big Brother house, where their behavior is monitored via several cameras.
The number of competitors decreases as the season progresses. One of the subtleties of the program has been that the participants cannot agree on who they will vote for in the eviction vote. The viewers then vote on who will have to leave the house.
In the end, the last person left in the house wins the whole Big Brother.
However, Nelonen or the production company ruined the idea behind the program, that is, that the participants cannot agree on who will be voted out. Now scheming was allowed like Survivors! There’s no sense in that. If you want to watch intrigue, you can watch Survivor, which it belongs to. Not Big Brother, which is a completely different type of show.
That opinion was shared by a large group of viewers who rejected Big Brother.
In November, Iltalehti reported how, according to Finnpanel, 259,000 viewers watched the final broadcast from Nelose. With that amount, it didn’t even make it into the 100 most watched programs of the week.
Of course, Big Brother’s viewership numbers had been declining for a long time, so perhaps Nelonen and the production company were brainstorming how to stop the decline.
Breaking the basic idea rarely works in the end.
