The New York Post reportsthat 32-year-old Hugo Sanchez died on July 20 at The Weeknd’s concert in Philadelphia, USA.
The concert was organized at the Lincoln Financial Field stadium. Sanchez was enjoying his favorite singer’s concert while sitting on the railing of the escalator until he lost his balance and fell 12 meters to the ground. Sanchez survived the fall, but was diagnosed with a serious head injury at the scene.
After waiting, Sanchez was quickly rushed to Jefferson University Hospital. Just less than an hour later, Sanchez was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The police are currently investigating the incident as an accident.
Neither a representative for The Weeknd nor representatives for Lincold Financial Field have responded to The Post’s request for comment.
The Weeknd is currently on tour in North America. He will start his European tour at the end of the year.
