In Veenoord, a fire raged this afternoon in a terraced house on Rooseveltstraat. The fire spread to neighbours, but the fire brigade had the situation under control a short time later.
The fire brigade was called just after two hours and came to the street with an aerial platform to be able to extinguish the fire from close by. It is not known where the fire started in the home. Photos show quite a lot of smoke billowing from the rooftops.
It is unclear how much damage the fire caused.
