Austrian crystal producer Swarovski opens the first store for its long-range optics division.
“We have been working consistently on expanding our sales channels for our end customers for many years as part of our forward integration,” said Carina Schiestl-Swarovski, Chairwoman of the Advisory Board at Swarovski Optik, in a statement on Wednesday. “The opening of the world’s first Swarovski Optik store is now the next major milestone.”
The Swarovski optics shop is located on the grounds of the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, a mixture of park, museum and point of sale. Products such as binoculars, but also outdoor products and outerwear are offered there.
“Sustainable growth – especially in the outdoor area – is a clear strategic goal for us. Since 2013, we have been increasingly focusing on end customer contacts, which we address via the online shop, at trade fairs or with a mobile brand experience, the Mobile Experience,” says Stefan Hämmerle, Director of Marketing and Sales at Swarovski Optik . “This is an essential part of our multichannel strategy. The opening of the world’s first Swarovski Optik store is the next big milestone.”
