The first Dutch store of the luxury fashion label Loewe has opened in the PC Hooftstraat in Amsterdam. The colorfully decorated shop sells the ready-to-wear collection for women as well as accessories such as bags, shoes, scarves and jewellery.
The store’s interior combines playful colors and patterns with modern shapes and handcrafted materials. The walls are covered with ceramic tiles in warm red and orange tones that contrast with the smooth concrete floors and wall shelves. Furniture includes sturdy burgundy and yellow chairs by Dutch furniture label Rietveld, and a light-colored upholstered wooden chair by US furniture brand George Nakashima.
Various artworks and design pieces selected by Loewe are on display in the store, including ceramic mugs by sculptor Ron Nagle, paintings by Dutch doyen Jan Van Kessel and Amsterdam-based artist Cian-Yu Bai, and artistic lamps by lighting designer Jos Devriendt, to name just a few .
