A fire broke out in an electrical box on Dilleweg in Nijeveen on Wednesday afternoon just after five o’clock.
Part of the village is temporarily without power. According to grid operator Enexis, this is a major power failure, affecting 17 postcodes. Mechanics are now on site. The outage is estimated to last until about 6:45 p.m.
Police have urged residents to keep windows and doors closed due to the smoke.
