The introduction of artificial intelligence is behind the change negotiations regarding word processors in the North Ostrobothnia welfare region. The software is said to reduce personnel work “substantially and permanently”. Pohjois Ostrobothnia’s welfare region Pohde has started cooperation negotiations, the target of which are people working as word processors. The negotiations concern a maximum of 63 people. Speech recognition software is introduced at Pohte, which converts dictation directly into text. Ilkka Haataja, IT director of the wellbeing area, confirms to Tivi that it is the Dragon Medical One software developed by American Nuance Communications.
