A K MP said Massa should resign and the request went viral

Since PASO on Sunday the 13th, the economy has been red hot. It began with a devaluation carried out by the Government and turned into an escalation of prices and of the Blue dollar that does not find a ceiling. In that context, A Kirchnerist deputy made a strong request to the Minister of Economy and candidate of the Union for the Fatherland, Sergio Massa.

“I am going to ask Massa to finish next week that trip that he has to close and leave the Ministry of Economy in the hands of another,” he said. Eduardo Valdés in an interview by C5N. The deputy added: “We need a candidate who does not have the responsibility, every day, of the Ministry of Economy.”

For Valdés, Massa “did the unimaginable to be as we are today. If we have the 28 points we got, a lot has to do with Sergio Massa”. However, his double role works against him according to his analysis: “Now, I ask the minister to stop being one when he returns from the United States and is a candidate. Because we need a candidate who proposes something different and does not have to reflect on everyday life. It doesn’t do him or the Peronists any good.”

On Tuesday, when Valdés gave the interview to C5N, the Blue dollar had closed at 730. And Wednesday’s day was no better: an increase of almost 7% placed it in 780. An increase of 185 pesos in the three days after the STEP.

Emboldened by Valdés’s reaction, hundreds of Twitter users coordinated their messages of anger towards the minister behind the hashtag #ResignationMassa, that was a trend in that social network, that is, one of the most talked about topics in the country.
