Heiskanen had a visible scar on his left cheek, which had been patched with a lot of stitches. In the fourth match of the series played on Tuesday, Heiskanen had to wear a visor protecting his entire face.

– It didn’t bother me. I felt pretty normal. It’s nice to get playing minutes again and get things going, Heiskanen commented after the match.
Heiskanen had to leave the third match of the series played on Sunday as a result of a bruise on his cheek. Dallas lost that match 7–2.
“True Warrior”
Heiskanen’s scar garnered respect on social media.
– How many stitches? It seems that many.
– A true warrior.
Stars head coach Peter DeBoer said after Dallas’ 6-3 win that the facial injury has affected Heiskanen’s eating and sleeping, but he still played more than 31 minutes against Seattle.

Heiskanen is not the first Finn in this spring’s playoffs whose face has been hard.
In the first round, Carolina Sebastian Aho got a visible scar on his mouth when he was also shot in the face. However, Aho did not have to use the “aquarium”.
