Finland’s under-18 girls’ national ice hockey team’s World Cup bronze game against Canada was interrupted for several minutes at the end of the second period Emmi Loponen14, due to injury.
Loponen, who had been lying on the ice for a long time, was finally taken away from the rink on a stretcher.
Loponen was injured when Canada Charlotte Pieckenhagen tackled the Finn and fell on him next to the side.
