A little girl has resulted serious injury ynNumerous vehicles, roofs and street furniture have suffered significant damage as a result of an intense hailstorm fall tonight in La Bisbal d’Empordà (Girona).
As reported by the emergency services, a stone of more than ten centimeters in diameter has fallen with great intensity for several minutes in this town, around 7:30 p.m.
The unusual size of this stone and the violence of the storm has caused some people to be injured, including a girl who has been transferred to the Trueta hospital in Girona.

Likewise, the windows of numerous vehicles have been shattered and the roofs and windows of some buildings have also suffered significant damage.
The hailstorm has also broken car windows and the roofs of houses in Pla de l’Estany and Baix Empordà. The storm has caused some damage to cars and houses. In some cases, the stones have broken the tiles and this has caused the water to enter some of the houses.
