A fox with a cigar and a dancing otter: these are the funniest animal images of the year | Abroad

Photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam founded the ‘Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards’ in 2015. Their goal was to create a competition that focuses on the light-hearted and funny side of nature photography in order to encourage the conservation of our animal world through humor. Meanwhile, the competition enjoys worldwide recognition. Every year, thousands of photographers from all over the world compete for one of the awards.

It shows how incredibly hilarious yet beautiful animals in the wild can be and that we must do everything we can to protect them. Below you will find a selection of some finalists.
