A fire burns in a waste treatment plant in the Free Trade Zone of Barcelona, from first thing in the morning. The notice of the fire was received at 6:20 a.m. this Saturday at the facilities of the Ecoparc in Barcelona, number 26, Calle A.
The flames affect the recycling plant interior and cause a large column of black smoke visible from the Catalan capital and different points of the metropolitan area.

As reported by Barcelona City Council, in the fire 19 crews of the Barcelona Firefighters work, with the help of several patrols from the Urban Police, Mossos d’Esquadra and port police. There are no injuries no impact on airport flights.
Last year there was already a similar fire in the same plant, but of much smaller dimensions. It has not caused complications in air traffic, although some planes have made small deviations.
